VNIT Alumni Meet

It was one day, one place and one gathering but all of us together with hearts so full of joy and moments which were etched no better than rock sculptures. Yes. The alumni meet of VNIT (VRCE), that took place on the 26th of December, 2009, is what we are talking about. Few people were quite skeptical about the event as initiatives similar to this were taken earlier and they flunked. But this time it was something different. It was a home run. The alumni turned out in large numbers and made this event a fantabulous hit.

We have already printed the 1st edition of the alumni newsletter (download from here). We are planning to have a quarterly issue of the newsletter. We will be sending an e-copy of the other editions of the newsletter and a copy of it will also be made available for download. In the upcoming newsletters, we hope to come up with more news related to the alumni. If you are interested in contributing to the newsletter, mail us the articles to newsletter[at]alumni[dot]vnit[dot]ac[dot]in. If you want a hard-copy of the newsletter, kindly contact the alumni office.

It gives me intense pride to witness the VNIT Alumni Interaction Office (VAIO) springing up in the Institute to channelize the alumni activities in the Institute and build up healthy relations. Efforts had been taken on bridging the gap between the alumni and the college. We have been arranging silver jubilee meets for the passed out batches every year. On 26th Dec 2009, a general alumni meet was organized and the concept of getting back the alumni committee as a whole was laid.
